President Bola Tinubu has summoned a high-level security meeting at the Presidential Villa, bringing together the nation’s top security and intelligence officials.
In attendance are the service chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, the National Security Adviser, and the Director-Generals of the State Security Service (SSS) and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).
While the agenda of the meeting remains undisclosed, such gatherings are routine, as the President frequently receives security briefings to assess national security threats and developments.
Also present at the Villa were the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu. However, it is unclear whether their visit is related to the security meeting.
