JUST IN: S’Court dismisses Governor Fubara’s appeal against Rivers Assembly leadership

The Supreme Court in Abuja has dismissed an appeal filed by Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, challenging the leadership of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
A five-member panel, led by Justice Uwani Abba-Aji, issued the ruling on Monday, ordering Fubara to pay two million naira to the Assembly and its Speaker, Martin Amaewhule.
The case was struck out following the withdrawal of the suit by Fubara’s lawyer, Yusuf Ali.
