JUST IN: Senator Ayogu Eze dies in Abuja hospital

Ayogu Eze is dead, a senator who represented Enugu North Senatorial Zone and former Senate Committee Chairman on Information and Media, Senator Ayogu Eze is dead.

He served at the federal legislative chamber between 2007 to 2015. Eze, 66 and a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), died in an Abuja hospital after a long battle with an undisclosed illness, according to a report by Leadership newspaper.

 Eze also served as a member of committees on Police Affairs, National Planning, Marine Transport and Federal Character & Inter-Government Affairs.

He was elected Senator for the Enugu North Senatorial District of Enugu State, Nigeria, taking office on June 5, 2007.
