JUST IN: Tinubu departs Katsina for Abuja

President Bola Tinubu has departed Katsina State for Abuja following a visit focused on boosting national security and enhancing military capacity.
The President left Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport around 3 p.m. on Saturday after a series of engagements in the northwestern state.
During his visit, Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s armed forces, pledging advanced weaponry, enhanced intelligence capabilities, and improved logistical support to secure victory over insurgents and other security threats.
Addressing frontline troops, the President emphasized that their welfare remains a top priority, alongside ensuring military preparedness.
“As your Commander-in-Chief, I am fully aware of the challenges you face,” Tinubu said. “We are taking bold steps to equip you with advanced weaponry, superior intelligence, and robust logistical backing—not only to defend this nation but to dominate and defeat every adversary.”
President Tinubu also flagged off major development projects in Katsina during his visit.
