Kaduna APC leaders meet Tinubu, assure landslide victory in 2027

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Kaduna State on Wednesday met with President Bola Tinubu, assuring him that the party is now fully accepted across the state and positioned for a landslide victory in the 2027 general elections.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas who represents Kaduna North, said the visit was “purely a courtesy visit from us, the stakeholders of Kaduna State.”

He added, “APC has been accepted 100% in all the nooks and crannies of Kaduna. The 2027 elections are guaranteed—landslide from zone one to zone two to zone three.”

Speaking to State House correspondents in Abuja, the Speaker credited Governor Uba Sani’s leadership for expanding APC’s reach into southern Kaduna, traditionally a stronghold of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“In other dispensations, Kaduna has not been too lucky for APC because the party’s acceptability was just limited to zone one and zone two. But because of the ingenuity of our governor, he has been able to reach out to zone three, which used to be predominantly PDP, to come and join us in APC,” he said.

Senator Sunday Marshall, who recently defected from PDP, expressed strong support for the APC. “Kaduna is prime for APC in 2027. We are still working to woo those sitting on the sidelines to ensure they come and embrace the party,” he said. He highlighted federal and state projects in his district, including a new university and a Federal Medical Centre, as reasons for embracing the APC.

Senator Shehu Sani noted the historic unity in the state. “This is the first time in Kaduna’s history where the Muslim North and the Christian South are all united and resolved to re-elect Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027,” he said. “The governor runs an all-inclusive government, and the federal government’s interventions in health, education, and infrastructure have given Kaduna a new lease of life. We are determined to show our appreciation at the next election.”

The delegation assured President Tinubu that APC would leverage its growing support and the achievements on the ground to secure electoral success in the next general elections
