Kai Cenat reveals efforts to secure Carter Efe’s US visa failed

American streamer Kai Cenat has revealed that his efforts to help Nigerian comedian and content creator Carter Efe secure a United States visa to attend the 2026 edition of his Streamer University proved unsuccessful.

Kai Cenat’s Streamer University brings together selected content creators from different countries for training, collaboration and networking opportunities. Carter Efe was among the participants selected for this year’s programme but was unable to attend after his visa application was denied.

Speaking during the opening ceremony of the 2026 class, Kai Cenat acknowledged Carter Efe’s absence, saying he personally tried to assist with the visa process but was unsuccessful.

“I was trying to get Carter Efe his visa. I was working with him, and it wasn’t able to happen,” the American content creator said.

Reacting to the development, Carter Efe expressed disappointment in several livestreams and appealed to Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, to intervene on his behalf.

“Nigerians, please help me tag Seyi Tinubu to do something about my visa wahala. Please, I don’t want to be in Nigeria. Please help me tag Seyi. He has the power. His father is the president. It’s a shameful thing that they picked me and I did not go because of my visa,” he said.

In another livestream, Carter Efe broke down in tears, saying, “If they can do a person like me, now imagine normal civilians. Nigerians have destroyed our reputation. We are trapped in this country. We can’t go anywhere we want”.

His visa setback comes amid stricter United States immigration and visa policies under President Donald Trump’s administration, which have increased scrutiny of visa applications from several countries, including Nigeria.
