Kemi Adetiba gets surprise party for 44th birthday
Award winning filmmaker Kemi Adetiba recently got a surprise bash for her 44th birthday.
The birthday party was organised by Adetiba’s husband and film director Oscar Heman-Ackah and held at an upscale restaurant cum club.
The surprise birthday bash had several celebrities including Deyemi Okanlawon, Simi, Banky W, Buchi, Bucci Franklin, Colette Otuosho, and Adebola Lagos, in attendance.
On the last day of December 2023, the talented filmmaker revealed that she will be more intentional about some of the things she rarely does before now.
“I’m going to take more pictures of myself in 2024. I realize I tend to document other people more than I do myself. Which in itself isn’t bad at all. I love throwing the spotlight on people I care about, but I want to be more intentional about adding myself into the picture,” she wrote on X.
The filmmaker has traversed the length and breadth of the Nigerian entertainment industry where she shot music videos for top Nigerian music acts, TV Ads for brands and films for the cinemas. She got her major breakthrough as a filmmaker with ‘The Wedding Party’ before she went on to film ‘King of Boys,’ ‘King of Boys’ (the limited series) and other features.
