Kemi Olunloyo counters Davido’s father, defends role in Anu’s life
By Folashade Olorunfemi –
Popular and controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo has responded to Davido’s father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, who alleged that she is impersonating Anu Adeleke over a paternity case involving his son, Davido. She issued a strong warning to Dr. Adeleke to stop making false claims that her son disowned her.
Kemi Olunloyo, who took to her Facebook account to provide details of her involvement in the Davido-Anu paternity saga, noted that the Olunloyos and the Adelekes are friends. However, she insisted she would not hesitate to “speak the truth,” emphasising that only one DNA test was conducted by the Adelekes, contrary to the five DNA tests announced by Davido and his father.
She further stated that Davido had contacted Ayo Labinjoh, the mother of the self-proclaimed daughter of Davido, during his last concert in Ibadan in December 2025, raising questions about why he would reach out if he truly had nothing to hide. She added that he had previously used his cousin B-Red’s account to communicate with Ayo before the issue escalated.
Kemi recalled enrolling Anu in school and funding her tuition for that year, as well as opening a bank account for her that can only be accessed when Anu turns 18. She added that she had earlier created an Instagram account where she documented archives related to Anu’s story before clearing the archives and handing over the account to the Labinjoh family. She also highlighted other charitable interventions she had made concerning Anu’s life.
She alleged that Davido had confessed to the Olubadan’s son that the Adelekes could not accept a child from a prostitute, questioning why Dr. Adeleke continued to protect his son regarding the paternity case.
Regarding cutting ties with the Labinjoh family, Kemi denied having a personal conversation with Titi Labinjoh, Ayo Labinjoh’s sister, stating that she had only met her once and that Titi appeared to be against all her efforts in Anu’s case.
