Koshoedo, PDP deputy national secretary denies defection rumour

The Deputy National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Setonji Koshoedo, on Monday denied reports that he has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Koshoedo, in a statement in Lagos described the rumour as mischievous and ill-intentioned meant to smear his image.
He said that he has no intention of dumping the PDP, saying he has been serving the party with loyalty, steadfastness, personal integrity and pedigree.
Noting that politics without probity is empty, Koshoedo said it is not only immoral for him to leave the PDP that has not only contributed immensely to his political career but also unreasonable to think of leaving the party that has also added so much value to his profile and the lives of many other politicians to join another party.
Noting that those defecting from the PDP can only be those in politics for selfish reasons, Koshoedo said his politics has never been for personal aggrandisement, and having reached the topmost level of leadership of the party, there is no reason for him to leave for a party.
He said he is currently consulting and meeting party members across Lagos State on steps towards rebuilding and repositioning the party for a successful bounce back in future elections.
He urged members of the party to discountenance the unfounded rumour, assuring that the process of recovering the party that has commenced will soon reach them.
