Kwankwaso dismisses reports of 2027 political alignment talks

Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and founder of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has denied engaging in any new political alignment ahead of the 2027 general election.

In a statement posted on his verified Facebook page on Saturday evening, the former Kano State governor described recent reports linking him to ongoing political realignments as “false, unfounded, and products of political mischief.”

“My attention has been drawn to a statement purportedly stating my position on the recurring political realignments in Nigeria,” he wrote. “I wish to categorically state that such statements are false, unfounded, and products of political mischief.”

Kwankwaso emphasized that he had chosen to remain silent on current political developments in the country and intends to continue doing so.

“I have refrained from commenting on contemporary political events and I will continue to do so for the time being,” he stated.

He also urged the public to rely only on information from his official communication channels. “In this regard, I urge the public to only engage statements that come from my public handles and other official sources,” he added.
