Kwankwaso hints at NDC-ADC alliance ahead of 2027 elections

Former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has said the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) may collaborate ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Kwankwaso made the disclosure on Monday during an interview on Arise Television’s programme, “Prime Time”.

He spoke while addressing issues surrounding his exit from the ADC and his alliance with former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

According to him, discussions and political realignments are ongoing ahead of the next election cycle.

“The NDC and ADC may still work together before the election,” he said.

Kwankwaso noted that many young Nigerians are more concerned about credible leadership than ethnic or religious sentiments.

“So you see, there is a lot happening in this country, but older people don’t even understand.

“People are talking of religion and ethnicity. People are talking, especially those at our ages, but the younger people are looking for the right leadership for this country, and I think they are absolutely right,” he added.
