Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the 16 newly elected local government chairpersons and 193 councillors across the state following their victories in Saturday’s local government elections.

In a statement released on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Governor also commended the members and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their success at the polls.

He attributed the party’s triumph to the achievements of the state government, the dedication of party members, and the strong relationships built with the people of Kwara.

Governor AbdulRazaq lauded the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and well-organized electoral process.

He expressed confidence that lessons from the election would serve to improve future electoral exercises in Kwara and nationwide, noting that representatives from other states’ electoral commissions observed the voting process.

The Governor further praised the people of Kwara for their impressive voter turnout and orderly conduct during the election, emphasizing their support for the APC. He also acknowledged the participation and sportsmanship displayed by all political parties involved in the election.
