Kwara governor commiserates with Olofa of Offa over mother’s demise

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has extended his condolences to His Royal Majesty, the Olofa of Offa Kingdom, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, on the passing of his beloved mother, Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi.

According to the Olofa Palace, the king’s mother died on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the age of 94.

The governor’s condolence message was contained in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Saturday in Ilorin.

Governor AbdulRazaq conveyed the sympathies of the people and government of the state to His Royal Majesty and the people of Offa.

“Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers are with His Royal Majesty at this difficult moment. We urge His Royal Majesty to be comforted by the rare grace of Allah on Alhaja for a fulfilling life, the joy of being a major chapter in the community’s story, and the happiness of seeing her children become success stories and also outliving her,” the governor said.

“We ask Allah to ease her account, widen and lighten her grave, and grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus.”
