The Kwara State Government has introduced free transportation as a palliative measure to ease the financial burden of returning students from Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, and the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) after the Christmas and New Year holidays.
The free transport initiative is available to all registered students of KWASU and UNILORIN. Buses have been stationed at Queen Elizabeth School (General Taiwo) and Soludero Park (Post Office), Ilorin, to convey the students to their campuses.
The Commissioner for Business, Innovation, and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, disclosed this in her office on Monday, emphasizing the state government’s commitment to supporting education.
“This free transport palliative demonstrates our dedication to the educational pursuits of our citizens,” she said.
Hon. Damilola urged the students to take full advantage of the initiative and report to their campuses promptly, highlighting that this measure is a special provision for their benefit.
