The Kwara State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) has announced job vacancies in the state’s basic healthcare sector, primarily targeting rural areas where there is a shortage of medical personnel.
In a statement issued on Monday, LGSC Chairman Alhaji Umar Danladi Shero revealed that the recruitment drive aims to fill critical roles in basic healthcare facilities.
The available positions include medical doctors, nurses/midwives, community health officers (CHO), community health extension workers (CHEW/JCHEW), pharmacists/technicians, laboratory technicians, and health attendants.
The statement emphasized that priority will be given to existing ad-hoc staff currently working within the system, offering them the first right of refusal as recognition for their service.
Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications through the provided Google form https://forms.gle/jYBgxsjgXnq67cjZ8 before the deadline on Friday, September 20, 2024. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next phase of the recruitment process.
Shero also noted that preference will be given to qualified candidates residing near the healthcare facilities where new staff are most needed, to ensure prompt and efficient service delivery.
