Kwara’s junior debate champions advance at global tournament in Malaysia

Kwara State’s acclaimed Junior Debate Team has surged into the second round of the 2025 International Debate Championships in Malaysia, once again carrying Nigeria’s flag with remarkable confidence and skill.

Led by Professor Sheu AbdulRaheem Adaramaja, Chairman of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board, the young debaters are gearing up for an intense showdown against Indonesia.

Their progression highlights the team’s growing reputation for sharp argumentation and disciplined presentation.

Kwara has dominated Nigeria’s school debate landscape since 2022, and this latest outing marks another milestone in its expanding global footprint.

“We are incredibly proud of our young debaters,” Professor Adaramaja said. “They embody the aspirations of Kwara and Nigeria, reflecting the impact of the state’s strong commitment to quality education.”
