Ladoja promises smooth succession process in Olubadan line

By Adejayan Gbenga –
The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has assured that there will be no delay in filling vacant positions in the Olubadan chieftaincy line.
He gave the assurance while receiving the Asipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, at his Lagos residence. The visit was confirmed in a statement issued on Monday by his media aide, Adeola Oloko.
Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State, also paid tribute to the late 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, who recently passed on. He said although he was not in Ibadan at the time of the monarch’s passing, he recognised and appreciated his contributions to the growth of Ibadan.
“Kabiyesi Olakulehin lived an impactful life and gave a good account of himself,” Ladoja said.
Reaffirming his commitment to traditional leadership and succession principles, Ladoja declared that all pending vacancies in the chieftaincy line would be addressed without delay.
He said prompt appointments were essential to maintain the integrity and continuity of the traditional institution in Ibadanland.
During the visit, Oba Kola-Daisi extended his condolences to the Olubadan-designate and pledged his unwavering support and loyalty as Ibadan prepares for a new phase of leadership under Ladoja.
