LAGESC, KAI arrest 9 miscreants for preventing pedestrian crossing

The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) in collaboration with Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) officers have arrested a total of 9 miscreants, during an early morning operation at Bolade, Shogunle, PWD and Ladipo pedestrian bridges for preventing people from using the facilities.

In the same vein, 56 persons were arrested for crossing the highway at Oshodi Oke and other locations in the state and accused of failure to using the pedestrian bridge provided.

The sanitation agency also announced that, 27 street traders have been arrested at Victoria Island, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Ajose Adeogun, Ligali Ayorinde and Adeola Odeku areas of the state for related offences of breaching sanitation laws.

The agency which disclosed the development on Friday, assured that the State government was commitment to a zero-tolerance for environmental nuisance across the state

KAI added that its officials would carryout their duties without bowing to any form of distraction, blackmail or propaganda.
