Lagos 2027: Jandor meets 4 GAC members in Saudi Arabia

The leader of the Lagos4Lagos Movement and 2023 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Olajide Adediran (Jandor), has met with four staunch Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and members of the powerful Governance Advisory Council (GAC) Saudi Arabia.

The GAC members are; the Chairman,  Prince Tajudeen Olusi, Badagry Division APC Leader, Prince Rabiu Oluwa, former Minister of State for Defence, Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro and Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon.

Although, the essence of the meeting was unknown as at the time of filing this report, but political watchers argued that it might not be unconnected with the 2027 general elections in Lagos.

Confirming their meeting, Gbenga Ogunleye, the Spokesman for Jandor, in a statement on Thursday, said the meeting was a show of unity and goodwill, adding that Jandor was warmly received by the GAC members.

Ogunleye explained that the meeting was held during the Umrah pilgrimage and that it served as a symbolic moment of engagement between key stakeholders in Lagos politics, emphasizing the importance of unity.

“This encounter reflects a shared commitment to the progress and unity of Lagos State underscoring the enduring values of collective responsibility and synergy in the furtherance of the vision of the ruling party”, said Ogunleye.

It would be recalled that Jandor recently dumped the PDP, citing indiscipline, and unwillingness of the party’s leaders to win elections.

Jandor thereafter rejoined the APC, re-establishing his loyalty to the APC and President Bola Tinubu.
