Lagos APC denies claims of stranded delegates, faults Sahara Reporters

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed a report by Sahara Reporters alleging that its delegates were stranded due to a failure to release mobilisation funds, describing the claim as false and misleading.
In a statement issued on Saturday by its spokesperson, Mogaji (Hon.) Seye Oladejo, the party said all accredited delegates from the state were transported to Abuja in an organised and comfortable manner.
The party maintained that there was no instance of delegates being stranded at any airport or motor park, contrary to the claims in the report, adding that adequate accommodation was also provided for them upon arrival.
“Lagos State delegates were not stranded at any airport or motor park. All duly accredited delegates were transported to Abuja in an orderly, coordinated and comfortable manner, with arrangements that ensured their convenience throughout the journey. Upon arrival, decent and adequate accommodation was provided,” the statement said.
The APC further clarified that the Lagos State Government is not responsible for funding party activities, noting that the party independently handles its logistics and finances through its internal structures.
According to the statement, attempts to link party operations to the state government were deliberate efforts to mislead the public.
The party also accused the publisher of the report of consistently spreading misinformation and unverified claims aimed at confusing members of the public.
It urged Nigerians to be cautious of sensational reports and to rely on credible and verified sources of information, while reaffirming its commitment to party unity and governance in Lagos State and the country.
