Sanwo-Olu wins Lagos APC governorship primaries

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has picked the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 elections.

The governor was declared the winner of the primaries by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee and former Deputy Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Adamu Shettima Yuguda.
Two other aspirants that contested against Sanwo-Olu were disqualified as the governor secured 1,170 votes.

In his acceptance speech, the governor thanked the delegates who came out to vote, saying they have spoken well.

He also thanked the National Leader of the party Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Lagosians for their support so far for his administration.

Sanwo-Olu said the coming election is all about the people, promising not disappoint them if given the mandate once again.
