Lagos Assembly Deputy Chief Whip mourns Ex- Council Chairman

Deputy Chief Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly Hon. Engr. Setonji David has expressed profound shock over the sudden demise of former Chairman, Badagry Local Government, Hungbo Moses Owolabani, extending his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.
Hungbo, fondly called “Naminadu”, died on Saturday evening.
The deceased was however described as a grassroot politician committed to empowering his community through sustainable development initiative which earned him admiration and a fostered legacy of accomplishment within the political landscape.
Setonji who struggled to come to terms with the sudden loss of the elder statesman, acknowledged profound impact his passing would have on the Badagry community, his family, and political associates.
The Deputy Chief Whip, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Posu Davies, said, ”I commiserate with the family of Honourable Chief Hungbo Moses Owolabani. His death gave me a sleepless night. Baba Naminadu has been a support system for us in politics. I learnt so many things from Baba. He was a forward-thinking personality, a problem solver. For me, you only went to sleep. I am very sure your legacies will live forever.”
Setonji who sought God’s guidance, prayed that the family finds strength and peace to overcome the painful memories and emotional struggles resulting from the loss.
