Lagos Assembly screens 20 commissioner-nominees

The Lagos State House of Assembly has screened 20 out of the 39 commissioneer-nominees sent for approval by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The remaining 19 are expected to be screened by Wednesday when the exercise would end.
So far, the screening committee of the House had screened Mrs. Adetoke Benson- Awoyinka, immediate past Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Housing, and Mrs Bola Olumegbon Lawal, a former Executive Secretary of Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Also screened were; Mr. Jamiu Tolani Adedeji Alli-Balogun, Olugbenga Olanrewaju Olaniyi, Ogunwuyi Rotimi Ekundayo, Hon. Ibrahim Olanrewaju Layode, immediate past lawmaker of the state from Badagry, Adetokunbo Wahab and Olakunle Rotimi-Akodu.
Others were Yakoob Ekundayo Alebiosu, Idris Aregbe, Abdul-Kabir Opeyemi Ogungbo, Dr. Oreoluwa Finnih- Awokoya, Abiola Okanlawon Moshood Olowu, Dr. Adekunle Olayinka, Mosopefolu George, Aramide Adeyoye, Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, Dr Olamide Abiodun Babatunde, Mr Lawal Pedro, SAN, and Mr Afolabi Waheed Ayantayo.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, had, during last plenary, constituted a 12-man ad-hoc screening committee for the exercise.
The committee is to make a report to the House when it reconvenes.
