Lagos CP meets #EndBadGovernance protest organizers, assures maximum security
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olanrewaju Ishola, has assured the organizers of the upcoming #EndBadGovernance protests of maximum security and professionalism from the police force.
The protests are scheduled to take place on October 1, 2024.
As part of proactive efforts to maintain safety in Lagos before, during, and after the protests, CP Ishola met with the protest organizers at the State Headquarters in Ikeja.
During the meeting, he emphasized that all necessary security arrangements had been finalized in coordination with sister security agencies to protect both protesters and the wider public.
CP Ishola urged the organizers to ensure that the demonstrations remain peaceful and law-abiding, stressing that the police will provide the necessary support to guarantee their safety.
In addition, CP Ishola has ordered the immediate deployment of personnel and operational resources to strategic locations across the state to maintain order and ensure a peaceful environment during the protest.
