Lagos gets acting Surveyor General

..Odupe charges staff on service delivery, diligence
The newly appointed Acting Surveyor-General of Lagos State, Surv. Olalekan Odupe has held his inaugural meeting with the management and staff of the Office of the State Surveyor-General (OSSG), urging them to embrace punctuality, teamwork, and a positive mindset that aligns with the government policy agenda.
Addressing staff at the OSSG premises, Surv. Odupe called on the officers to collectively drive the agency’s core mandate and enhance its service delivery to the public.

“Our collective responsibility is to ensure that the vision of Mr. Governor is effectively translated through our daily operations. To achieve this, we must remain committed to punctuality, maintain a spirit of teamwork, and foster an environment that encourages innovation and productivity”, he stated.
Surv. Odupe further encouraged open communication among staff, just as he urged them to freely identify and discuss any challenges that may hinder optimal performance.
According to him, the management is committed to addressing such issues to create a more enabling and result-driven work environment.

The Acting Surveyor-General reiterated his commitment to repositioning the OSSG for improved efficiency, professionalism, and public trust, stressing that the journey towards transformation begins with individual and collective discipline, especially in time management and accountability.
Prior to his appointment, Surv. Odupe Olalekan served as the Director of the Cadastral Department, where he was noted for his technical expertise and dedication to service.
His elevation has been applauded within the professional community as a step towards sustaining excellence and continuity in land surveying and geospatial services in Lagos State.
