Lagos Health District IV takes free medical outreach to villages

The Permanent Secretary of District IV in the Lagos State Ministry of Health, Dr. Abimbola Bowale has said that the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is committed to an inclusive healthcare system that leaves no one behind, irrespective of tribe, demography or economic status.

The Permanent Secretary made this known when Health District IV took its medical outreach services train to Sogunro village and its environs, around the Aderupoko ward, Yaba Local Council Development Area.

Dr. (Mrs.) Oludolapo Sotunde, Director of Medical Services and Disease Control Directorate, whose office is in charge of the outreach, in collaboration with the Yaba LCDA medical team, said the medical outreach had become important and as a result, the Health District is not just curbing the spread of infection but nipping them in the bud in their entirety

The Medical Outreach which borders on Immunisation, Counselling, Family Planning, and Blood Pressure among other health checks had more than enough residents come out en masse to benefit from the exercise.

The medical outreach is a round tour exercise aimed at reaching all communities within the District’s coverage area with medical personnel to attend to all patients present to ensure that no one is left behind,

The outreach further underscored Health District IV’s commitment to ensuring universal and quality healthcare services to all community members in the state in line with the THEMES Plus Agenda of the Sanwo-Olu administration.
