Lagos HoS emphasises importance of teamwork in driving organisational success

The Lagos State Head of Service, Bode Agoro, has emphasised the importance of teamwork in driving organisational success.

Agoro commended the staff for their continued commitment while encouraging them to deepen collaboration in the Bureau.

The Lagos HoS gave the commendation at the opening of a three-day retreat organised by the State’s Lands Bureau for its senior staff.

The retreat was organised in collaboration with the Skills & Career Support Centre and Academy Consulting and themed “Excellence in Teamwork: Collaborating for Success in Lands Bureau.”

The retreat, which took place at the Jubilee Chalets, Epe, was organised in collaboration with the Skills & Career Support Centre and Academy Consulting.

In his remarks, Kamar Olowoshago, Permanent Secretary, Lands Bureau, urged senior staff members to take care of their health and well-being while prioritising continuous learning and professional development.

Olowoshago highlighted the value of mentoring and inclusivity among all members the workforce, especially senior officers.

Over the course of the retreat, participants engaged in interactive sessions, leadership workshops, and team-building exercises aimed at strengthening communication, strategic thinking, and overall productivity in work delivery.

The event witnessed participation from notable government officials, including the Chairman House Committee on Lands, Hon. Olayinka Kazeem; Special Adviser to the Governor on E-GIS & Urban Development, Dr. Olajide Babatunde and Permanent Secretaries of the State Treasury Office, Dr. Abiodun Muritala; Office of Environment, Mr. Omobolaji Gaji; Debt Management Office, Mrs. Rukayat Sanusi; Local Government, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa; Public Service Office, Mrs. Olasunkammi Oyegbola; Office of Infrastructure Engr. Lateef Somide and Wealth Creation and Employment, Esv. Olayinka Wasiu, reinforcing the spirit of inter-agency collaboration and shared learning.

This initiative underscores the Lands Bureau’s commitment to building a high-performing, collaborative public service institution aligned with the vision of the Lagos State Government.
