Lagos HoS highlights importance of Service Charter to accountability, transparency in public service

Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro has highlighted the importance of the Service Charter as it reflects the commitment of Public Servants to Excellence, Accountability and Transparency.
Bode Agoro stated this while speaking at the 2024 Service Charter Week celebration organised by the State Office of Transformation Creativity and Innovation (OTCI) in Alausa Ikeja.
Represented by the Director-General, Office of Transformation Creativity and Innovation, Mrs. Toyin Anjous-Ademuyiwa, the Head of Service said that the gathering was not merely a celebration of achievements but a reaffirmation of the dedication to the principles that form the foundation of the State civil Service.

He noted that the Service Charter serves as the guiding framework, ensuring that the needs of the citizens are placed at the forefront of every decision.
“It reflects our commitment to excellent, accountability and transparency in all our operations”, he added.
Agoro, therefore, urged Public Servants to embrace and foster a culture where innovation flourishes and all civil servants feel empowered to make meaningful Impact.

Commending the awardees, he said each award presented honours the hard work, creativity and dedication of individuals and teams who have gone above and beyond to serve the citizens, communities and the State in particular.
“As we celebrate the success of our colleagues today, let us challenge ourselves to continually improve, innovate our approaches and remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering excellent service”, he concluded.
