Lagos Lawmaker Ogundipe declares re-election bid, vows more development

The lawmaker representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Stephen Ogundipe, popularly known as Omojomolo, has formally declared his intention to seek re-election for a second term.
Ogundipe made the declaration on Monday, urging constituents to renew his mandate and pledging to consolidate on his achievements while delivering more dividends of democracy.
He said his representation has produced visible and impactful projects across the seven political wards in the constituency, spanning education, healthcare, infrastructure, employment, and social welfare.
Highlighting his achievements, he disclosed that over 3,000 pupils benefited from free coaching initiatives, while 1,200 youths were supported with JAMB forms, leading to more than 100 admissions into tertiary institutions.
In the area of empowerment, Ogundipe noted that over 200 constituents have been trained in various vocational skills, while job opportunities have also been facilitated to promote sustainable livelihoods.
He added that healthcare services and screenings have been extended to grassroots residents, while his infrastructure efforts include improved road networks, security enhancements, and expanded street lighting.
Ogundipe further highlighted his legislative work, including sponsorship of people-oriented bills and motions on flooding, security, sanitation, and community welfare, alongside support programmes such as food aid and financial assistance.
Meanwhile, stakeholders including a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Chief Muraina Akanbi Taiwo, represented by Elder Gbenga Arulogun, and NURTW National President Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) called for support for Ogundipe’s re-election bid, while also endorsing President Bola Tinubu, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat.
