Lagos OTIC hosts business process roundtable with trade officers

The Lagos State Office of Transformation, Creativity & Innovation (OTCI) has held a Business Process Roundtable discussion with trade officers to establish fit-for-purpose core competencies within the trade sector.

The event brought together key stakeholders to collaboratively identify and develop the essential skills and competencies required for effective trade operations.

The Director General of OTCI, Mrs. Anjous-Ademuyiwa, represented by Ms. Omodunni Odegbami, highlighted the significance of the initiative in strengthening the capabilities of trade officers.

“Establishing fit-for-purpose core competencies is vital for improving our trade operations and ensuring that our officers are well-prepared to meet the demands of a dynamic business environment,” she stated.

During the roundtable, participants engaged in insightful discussions focused on defining Core Competencies, identifying the key skills and knowledge areas necessary for trade officers to excel in their roles and contribute to the growth of the trade sector.

The discussion concluded with a commitment to ongoing collaboration among trade officers, as well as a roadmap for implementing the identified core competencies across the trade sector in Lagos State.
