Lagos PDP chieftain accuses Jandor of being ‘an APC mole’

Hakeem Olalemi, the Lagos Vice Chairman (Central) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has accused Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, of being a mole for the All Progressives Congress (APC) within the opposition party.

Jandor, who was the PDP’s governorship candidate in the 2023 Lagos elections, officially announced his return to the APC on Monday.

During a press briefing, he cited his defection as a reflection of his “unwavering commitment to the development of Lagos,” blaming his departure on the PDP’s national leadership’s failure to enforce discipline and address alleged anti-party activities during the last election cycle.

Speaking in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Olalemi dismissed Jandor’s exit, stating that the Lagos PDP would not miss him. He alleged that Jandor’s time in the party was aimed at destabilizing it, adding that the former candidate “came to spy and ruined the party.”

“He is a human being, and the Nigerian Constitution allows freedom of association. He is free to resign from any group or party and join any group he wants,” Olalemi said.

“We will miss his shenanigans, comedy, and cunningness. We will not miss anything good about him in the party because he has done huge havoc to our party in Lagos State.”

Olalemi further blamed some national PDP leaders and state elders for granting Jandor the party’s 2023 governorship ticket “on a platter of gold.”

Despite the setback, he assured party supporters that PDP in Lagos would recover and regain strength ahead of the 2027 elections.
