Lagos Police apprehends two for allegedly stealing car battery

Two suspects accused of specializing in car battery theft have been arrested by the MAN Centre Division of the Lagos Police Command.

Lagos Police Spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed this in a statement via his X handle on Wednesday.

The suspects, Eyo Wisdom and Alhjai Kamara Mohammed, 30 and 40 year old respectively are said to specialize in breaking into victims’ compounds and stealing the batteries as well as armoured cables.

SP Hundeyin, posting a picture of the suspects via his handle, confirmed their arrest, while stating that investigation was ongoing in the case.

He wrote, “The man on the left is 30-year-old Eyo Wisdom. He specializes in jumping into people’s compounds to steal batteries and armoured cables while the man on the right is 40-year-old Alhaji Kamara Mohammed who buys the stolen items from Eyo.

“They have both been arrested by MAN Centre Division and investigation is ongoing.”
