Lagos Sports Commission targets greater wins as Fatodu rallies staff for new year

The Director-General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu, has urged staff of the commission to embrace teamwork as they begin the new year.
Fatodu gave the charge at the New Year Prayer Session held at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.
He said the Lagos State Sports Commission remains focused on inspiring transformation and creating pathways for improvement, noting that expectations are high for continued success and progress.

According to him, achieving better outcomes in sports development is a collective responsibility, stressing that teamwork remains central to the commission’s policies and strategic direction.
The director-general also encouraged staff to improve the quality of their job performance, engagement, and sense of responsibility, urging them to take pride in the identity of the Lagos State Sports Commission.
Fatodu acknowledged that the commission has recorded unprecedented victories in recent times, adding that there is a strong determination to build on those achievements.

He described sports as a powerful tool for diplomacy, youth engagement, and community development across the state.
Fatodu expressed appreciation for the dedication and sacrifices of staff members, assuring them of the leadership’s commitment to protecting the commission’s identity and driving further success in sports development.
