Lagos Tourism NBC Trade Fair 2025 set to drive ₦5bn in sales

Lagos is gearing up for the highly anticipated 2025 Lagos Tourism NBC Trade Fair, expected to be Nigeria’s largest trade and commerce event, with projected sales of ₦5 billion. The three-day fair, scheduled for April 11–13 at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, will feature over 220 vendors and welcome approximately 75,000 attendees.

This marks the second edition of the partnership between Naija Brand Chick and the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, focusing on leveraging entertainment to boost trade. The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Idris Aregbe, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs through various initiatives.

“The essence of tourism lies in buying, selling, and landscape development while boosting the local economy and fostering cultural exchange,” Aregbe stated. “Our administration is focused on job creation, poverty reduction, SME growth, and bridging inequality. This trade fair aligns perfectly with those objectives.”

To enhance accessibility, this year’s edition will introduce an Online Deals Spot, allowing buyers to shop remotely and enjoy discounts. Aregbe also assured that the trade fair would be a hub for affordable and smart shopping, encouraging attendees to take advantage of exclusive deals.

Nelly Agbogu, CEO of Naija Brand Chick, expressed her excitement, highlighting Lagos as a prime business hub. “Lagos provides the perfect landscape for business growth, and this fair proves that dreams can be actualized with the right support. We are proud to empower SMEs and transform lives through this platform.”

This year’s event will incorporate new activities, including business masterclasses, interactive workshops, and financial inclusion initiatives offering grants and business support. Vendors will also benefit from networking opportunities and exposure to strategic marketing solutions.

Beyond commerce, the fair will feature guest appearances from influencers and celebrities, cultural performances, dance showcases, giveaways, and raffle draws, all aimed at boosting sales and visibility for participating brands.

The 2024 edition was a massive success, with vendors sharing positive testimonials. Key highlights included the introduction of the Sanwo-Naira as a major exchange medium and Lagos Corner, which provided small businesses with limited resources the opportunity to participate for free. The 2025 edition promises an even bigger impact, further solidifying the trade fair’s reputation as a must-attend business event in Nigeria.
