The Ondo State Police Command has uncovered a case of kidnap, rape, and murder involving two students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), allegedly masterminded by their landlord, identified as Oladele Femi.

According to the police, the victims — Abah John Friday, 25, and his 19-year-old friend, Okah Andrel Eloho — were declared missing on June 20, 2025.

Their disappearance prompted a formal petition dated June 24, submitted by G.O. Omoedu & Co., legal representatives for one of the victims’ families.

Police investigations led to Lagos, where an iPhone 14 Pro Max belonging to one of the victims was traced to a suspect, Abdul Mohammed Mubarak.

Mubarak confessed to buying the phone from another suspect, Ojo Michael, who was later arrested in Aramoko-Ekiti along with a recovered Lexus RX 350 owned by the victims.

During interrogation, Michael revealed that the abduction and murder were orchestrated by the landlord of one of the victims. He also admitted to sexually assaulting the female victim.

Michael claimed the students were killed to prevent them from identifying the culprits after the female victim recognized one of them.

“The Command assures the public that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspect at large, recover the remains of Abah John Friday, and bring all responsible parties to justice,” the police said.
