LASG to support JAMB with CBT centres

The Lagos State Government has reiterated its commitment to supporting stakeholders in the education sector at both the federal and state levels for efficient service delivery.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made this commitment during a courtesy visit by the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Ishaq Oloyede, and his delegation at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja.
Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the leadership of JAMB for its excellence and credibility and pledged to provide conducive environments for the establishment of Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers in Ojo, Festac, Ikorodu, and Mile 12 for JAMB candidates in Lagos.
Earlier, JAMB Registrar Professor Ishaq Oloyede lauded the achievements of the Sanwo-Olu administration and requested land for the construction of large CBT centers in Lagos, similar to initiatives in other states such as Rivers, Imo, Nasarawa, Kaduna, and Kano.
The JAMB Registrar noted that 15% of the annual candidates are from Lagos, yet the state has less than 10% of the CBT centers needed to accommodate them.
