LASPA partners LG Ministry for improved sensitisation on street parking

‎As part of efforts to ensure stronger collaboration and synergy for a better parking culture, the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) has held a strategic meeting with the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development.

‎Speaking at the meeting, the General Manager of LASPA, Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu informed that the State Parking Authority has concluded arrangements for the commencement of the ‘On-Street Parking Campaign’ in some selected zones in the State, namely Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Yaba, Ikeja, and Surulere.

‎She noted that the Management of LASPA, had earlier met with the Chairmen of Local Government and Local Council Development Areas to intimate them of the proposed campaign, adding that there was need for the Authority to also sensitise members of the various Community Development Associations (CDAs) for their support towards a more successful campaign.


‎She solicited the support of Ministry towards facilitating and creating an enabling environment for LASPA to meet with the various CDAS and CDC in the designated zones for the On-Street parking pilot campaign.

‎Responding, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mr. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, promised the Ministry’s collaboration with LASPA and suggested an invitation of the Authority’s Management for an engagement session with the Local Council Officials for a clearer communication channel.
