Late Oyo Lawmaker, Akinremi laid to rest in Ibadan

The late Ibadan North Federal Constituency representative, Hon. Olaide Akinremi, has been laid to rest on Thursday.

The burial rites conducted by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere, had the attendance of Hon. Stanley Odidiomo, Hon. Abass Agboworin, APC Secetrary in the state, Alhaji Tajudeen Olanite, the Publicity Secetrary of APC in Oyo State, Olawale Sadare

Family, friends, political associates and mourners trooped out en mass to witness burial of the lawmaker.

WESTERN POST had reported that the lawmaker died at Abuja in the early hours of Wednesday, July 10, after brief illness and was airlifted to Ibadan in early hours of Thursday. 

Akinremi, an All Progressives Congress, (APC) lawmaker, was first elected in 2019 and reelected in 2023.

He died at age 51.
