LSSTF boosts NSCDC operations with security equipment, urges stronger school protection

The Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, has called for stronger protection of children, young people and critical infrastructure as key to Nigeria’s future.
Ogunsan spoke on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, during his first official visit to the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), where he donated 30 ballistic helmets, 30 bulletproof vests and 100 raincoats.

He commended the Corps for its security contributions and urged it to intensify the protection of schools and critical infrastructure across Lagos.

Describing the NSCDC as a strategic partner, Ogunsan stressed the need to keep children safe, warning that neglecting young people could endanger the nation’s future.
He assured the Command of continued LSSTF support and promised more equipment as resources become available.
Receiving the items, the NSCDC Lagos State Commandant, Adedotun Sunday Keshinro, thanked Ogunsan and the LSSTF, saying the donation would boost personnel morale and improve the protection of lives, property and critical assets across the state.
