Justine Madugu, interim head coach of the Super Falcons of Nigeria, expressed his admiration for the national team players following their impressive performances in friendly matches against Algeria.

The nine-time African champions demonstrated their dominance by securing two consecutive victories over the visiting Green Ladies within a week.

In their first encounter last Saturday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, a Super Falcons squad primarily composed of home-based players achieved a solid 2-0 win. This victory highlighted the team’s strength and cohesion, especially given the limited training sessions they had before the matches.

The second friendly, held on Tuesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, showcased an even more dominant display from the Falcons, who defeated Algeria 4-1. This match not only highlighted the team’s attacking prowess but also reflected their growing confidence and synergy on the field.

After the second victory, Coach Madugu praised the players for their stellar performance, stating, “I commend the girls for their performance, even though we only had very few training sessions together. It gives us hope and belief that going forward, we will have a more formidable Super Falcons.”
