Makinde appoints Okediji Audit Commission Chair, names Olanrewaju SA on Lagos Liaison

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has appointed Mr. David Aderemi Okediji as Chairman of the Oyo State Audit Service Commission and Mr. Olufemi Ebenezer Olanrewaju as Special Assistant on Liaison Office (Lagos).

The announcements were made through a letter signed by the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi. In the letter, Governor Makinde charged the new appointees to carry out their duties with commitment, loyalty, and dedication to the state.

According to the communication, Okediji’s appointment as Chairman of the Audit Service Commission takes effect from January 15, 2026, while Mr. Olanrewaju assumes office as Special Assistant on January 20, 2026.

Governor Makinde emphasized the importance of accountability and excellence in both offices. He expects the new appointees to contribute positively to the state’s administrative and governance objectives.

Mr. Okediji, as Chairman of the Audit Service Commission, will be responsible for overseeing the auditing functions of state ministries, departments, and agencies. His role includes ensuring that financial management adheres to regulatory standards and promoting transparency in government operations.

While Olanrewaju as Special Assistant on Liaison Office in Lagos, is expected to strengthen the state’s engagement with stakeholders in the commercial hub. His duties include coordinating government activities, representing the state’s interests, and facilitating communication between Lagos-based agencies and the Oyo State government.
