Makinde appoints special assistant, new board chair

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of Mr Abayomi Fagbenro as special adviser on security.
The governor also appointed Prince Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, popularly known as AROSAD, as chairman of the Board of the Pacesetter Mineral Development Company.
The appointments were announced in letters signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.
Fagbenro previously worked at the Department of Defense Army Network Enterprise Centre in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, United States, between October 2007 and August 2012. He also underwent military training in Great Lakes, Illinois.
He attended East Coast Polytechnic Institute (ECPI) and later obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Strayer University.
Adeyemi, on the other hand, studied Political Science at the University of Abuja. He previously served as both Caretaker Committee chairman and executive chairman of Oyo East Local Government Area.
Addressing the appointees, Governor Makinde urged them to regard their appointments as a call to service and to put the people of Oyo State first.
The appointments take immediate effect.
