Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has inspected the reconstruction of the 30-kilometre Okaka Junction–Otu–Igbojaiye–KAP Film Village Road in Itesiwaju Local Government Area.

The governor expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and the pace of construction, noting that the project reflects his administration’s commitment to improving rural connectivity through durable road infrastructure.

Makinde said the road would ease transportation for residents, improve access to previously remote communities, and facilitate the movement of farm produce to markets.

He added that the project would boost economic activities and support sustainable development across the area.

He stated that the rehabilitation of the road aligns with the government’s inclusive development agenda, stressing that rural communities remain a priority in the state’s infrastructure drive.

During the inspection, the governor also visited Kunle Afolayan’s KAP Film Village and Resorts, describing it as a major private investment capable of boosting tourism, employment, and the creative economy in Oyo State.

Makinde reaffirmed that the state government would continue to invest in infrastructure that attracts investors and promotes tourism and creative enterprise.

In his remarks, filmmaker Kunle Afolayan praised the governor for the intervention, saying the improved road would enhance access to the film village, improve residents’ livelihoods, and accelerate socio-economic development in Itesiwaju Local Government Area.
