Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday inspected two major infrastructure projects in the state—the Omololu Olunloyo Park and the ongoing Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road.
The Omololu Olunloyo Park, located at the start of the 3.2 km Omololu Olunloyo Airport Road in Ibadan, is a leisure facility featuring gardens, architectural and cultural installations, a viewing gallery, car parking, and toilet facilities. It is also expected to serve as a parking hub for transport services to and from the Ibadan Airport.

Speaking during the inspection, Governor Makinde said the park is part of his administration’s broader plan to expand the state’s economy and transform the Ibadan Airport axis into an aerotropolis.

The governor also visited the 110 km Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road project, where he reaffirmed that the 32.2 km South-East Wing would be completed later this year. He added that clearing work on the 36 km North-East Wing is already in progress.
