Makinde names ex-lawmaker Fijabi as chairman of Oyo @50 Anniversary Committee (full list)

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has appointed a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Saheed Akinade Fijabi, as Chairman of the Oyo State @50 Anniversary Committee.
The appointment was announced in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, and takes immediate effect.
The 11-member committee will oversee the planning and execution of events marking the 50th anniversary of Oyo State’s creation.
Other members of the committee include: Alhaja Ololade Agboola (former Head of Service and Deputy Chairman), Dr. Z.O. Ajuwon, OON; Mustapha Razaq Areo; Alhaja Fatimah Ololade Azeez; S.A. Adejumo; Pastor John Olasunkanmi Alabi; Alhaji A.K. Bello; Mrs. Ronke Adedayo (Secretary); COMPOL Fatai Owoseni (rtd); and Mr. Samuel Adegboyega Badejo (Director-General of Protocol).
Governor Makinde said the committee’s task is to ensure that Oyo State’s 50th anniversary celebration is “befitting, inclusive, and reflective of the state’s progress over the years.”
