Makinde names new Deputy Chief of Staff, reshuffles Key appointments in Oyo

Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of Hon. Adeyinka Kazim Adeniyi, popularly known as Bibire, as the new Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS).
This development follows the resignation of the former DCOS, Hon. Fola Sunday Oyekunle, who recently emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election scheduled for August 16, 2025.
In a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Governor Makinde also announced the dissolution of the board of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC).
He subsequently appointed Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami as the new chairman of the club.
In addition, Hon. Kabiru Salami, a retired police officer, was appointed as Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security Coordination, while Hon. Waheed Adeniyi was named Chairman of the Oyo State Waste Management Authority.
Governor Makinde congratulated the new appointees and urged them to view their appointments as a call to dedicated service to the people of Oyo State.
