Makinde pledges completion of Eruwa–Ido Road within 11 months

Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has assured that his administration will complete the construction of the Eleyele-Ido-Eruwa Road within 10 to 11 months.
Makinde made the pledge during the coronation ceremony of Oba Adebayo Adegbola as the Eleruwa of Eruwa, held at the Eleruwa Stadium in Sango, Eruwa, Oyo State, on Saturday.
The governor, who formally presented the new monarch to the public, apologised to the people of Ibarapa East Local Government over the deplorable condition of the road.
Speaking at the event, Makinde said, “I also passed through the road; the state is discouraging. I assure you that the Eleyele-Ido-Eruwa Road project will be completed within 10 to 11 months. If it is not done, don’t welcome me to Eruwa again.”
In his acceptance speech, Oba Adegbola expressed deep gratitude to Governor Makinde for his courage, fairness, and commitment to preserving the royal institution.
The monarch pledged to lead with integrity and promote peace, progress, and development in Eruwa, irrespective of class, age, or background.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Bayo Lawal; Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Debo Ogundoyin; the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade; and the PDP Deputy National Chairman (South), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, among others.
