Makinde receives Oyo students, restates commitment to education

Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to listening to the needs of students.

Makinde made this statement on Monday while receiving members of the Federation of Oyo State Students Union (FOSSU) at the Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.

The enthusiastic students, who marched to the Governor’s Office in a solidarity walk, were on a thank-you visit following the payment of their bursaries.

Addressing the students, Makinde assured them that his administration would continue to support their education and maintain open communication regarding their concerns.

The Governor also urged them to stay focused on their studies as they acquire the knowledge and skills needed for the next phase of their lives.

He further encouraged the students to promptly draw the government’s attention to any critical issues affecting them.
