Makinde to flag off free health mission

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, will today, Tuesday, May 13, 2025, launch the Omituntun Free Health Mission at the Ibadan North East Local Government Secretariat, Iwo Road, Ibadan.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, disclosed this on Monday in her office.

She said the comprehensive medical outreach is aimed at delivering free, quality healthcare services to residents across the 33 local government areas.

According to her, the exercise is scheduled to last six weeks, during which a team of highly skilled medical professionals will bring healthcare services closer to the people at the grassroots.

She urged residents across the local governments to take full advantage of the opportunity.

Dr. Ajetunmobi praised Governor Makinde for his dedication to the health and well-being of the people of Oyo State.

She noted that the Omituntun Free Health Mission is a testament to the governor’s people-centered approach to governance and his vision to ensure access to quality healthcare for all.

Services to be provided during the mission include free surgical procedures, general and specialist medical consultations, dental services, ophthalmology (eye care), cervical cancer screening, breast examinations, vital signs checks, physiotherapy, tuberculosis screening, as well as health talks and food safety education.
