Masari joins African leaders at business summit in London

Special Adviser to the President on Political and Other Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Masari, joined African leaders, policymakers and business executives in London recently for the 16th African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA), where participants discussed strategies for accelerating economic growth and sustainable development across the continent.
The summit, held at Chatham House, Westminster, brought together serving and former Heads of State and Government, development partners and private sector leaders to deliberate on leadership, investment, innovation and regional integration in Africa.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were former President of Tanzania and Chairman of the African Leadership Organisation (ALO) Global Advisory Board, Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete; Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni; Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma; and President of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID), Dr. George Agyekum Donkor.

Other participants included Sierra Leone’s Minister of Finance, Sheku Ahmed Fantamadi Bangura; Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye; Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Prof. Shuaibu Shehu Aliyu; Vice-Chancellor of the University of Zimbabwe, Prof. Paul Mapfumo; and Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone, Henry Saamoi.
Discussions at the summit centred on strengthening governance, promoting innovation, attracting investment, deepening regional integration and advancing sustainable economic development across Africa.
Organisers said the event also provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration among African governments, the private sector and international development partners in pursuit of inclusive growth and shared prosperity for the continent.
